Resource Access: Four open-source emergency management tools for disaster recovery teams

Open-source tools are a great fit for emergency management and response due to their accessibility and collaborative nature. 

Brien Posey, in an article for Tech Target, highlights four of these open-source tools that can help with either planning for or recovering from disasters. 

OpenStreetMap, for example, is a community-created, global-scale, street-level map designed specifically to be used in humanitarian and crisis management situations.
