Crisis Communication: Mapping out the evolution of online crises

When it comes to crisis communication, the physical world has a long and well-established pool of resources to pull from. But in this age of rapidly moving social media and ever-shifting online spaces, digital crises are pervasive and often carry real-world consequences.

Amanda Bishop, in an article for Brock University’s The Brock News, interviews crisis communications expert Duncan Koerber about his research in this space. Koerber stresses how online crises are “always about language and meaning.”
