The Canadian Infrastructure Council published the country’s first National Infrastructure Assessment—NIA Report 1—on November 27.
The report brings together data and evidence to present “population projections, asset conditions, and climate considerations to better understand the capacity and resilience of Canada’s infrastructure systems,” explains the Department of Housing, Infrastructure and Communities in a Cision article.
The NIA Report 1 highlights pressures Canada currently faces, as well as outlines potential opportunities to use existing infrastructure more efficiently. It serves as an important resource for governments and infrastructure owners, operators, and investors as they plan the future of the country’s infrastructure.
