The province of Ontario is working to strengthen local preparedness by leveraging digital formats to deliver modernized training.
The Ministry of Emergency Preparedness and Response, alongside the Regional Municipality of Peel, celebrate the successful completion of a “first-of-its-kind digital emergency management training program,” the Incident Management System (IMS) 101 course.
The course offers “foundational knowledge of Ontario’s incident management system” and encourages coordinated responses across different organisations. Over 3,000 Peel staff have completed the course, just one step in strengthening frontline response and preparedness.
